What do they involve?
An initial consultation will take 45-60 minutes and follow-ups will take up to 30 minutes. An important part of the naturopathic consultation process is to get to know your body and how it’s functioning. Part of this is achieved by asking you a comprehensive set of questions, but to really know what’s going on Dee may perform a series of tests.
Here’s an overview of the tests which Dee may choose to use to assess your health further:
Body Test (BIA)
Using the most effective electronic equipment available Dee can measure your body composition via Bio Impedence Analysis (BIA). This is done to ensure that the protocol you’re following is effective and safe.
BIA is a state-of-the-art electrical analysis tool developed by the University of Queensland to monitor function of the body. It’s been in use for decades based on similar technology used by NASA to measure muscle loss in space. BIA provides accurate information on muscle mass and fat mass, and helps identify potential performance issues.
Urinary Indicans Test
A small sample of urine is taken for us to asses the health of your digestion in regards to the permeability of intestinal lining and parasites. This test is taken during a digestive restoration program, or before to determine whether the program is necessary. It enables Dee to assess improvements being made to ensure it is safe to move on to the next stage.
Semen Analysis
This is a quick and easy test which provides invaluable information about the quantity, quality, motility and overall health of sperm. The cost is $35 and is highly recommended for any couple prior to conception to get the best outcome possible.
